Lucknow, 23 April 2025. Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has attack on the BJP government at the Center over the tragic incident in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. In his post on the social media platform X, he questioned that when the BJP inspires tourists to send to Jammu and Kashmir, why adequate security arrangements were not made there?

The place where the attack took place was not a deserted area, but a famous tourist destination, where people from different parts of the country were present, but why there was no adequate security arrangement there. He taunted that meetings for security should have been held earlier, not after the loss of lives.

Exposing the BJP’s insensitivity and lapse in security, he said that this accident has once again brought the failure of the government to the fore. Akhilesh questioned the central government’s Jammu and Kashmir policy and said that when the BJP did everything there according to its own will, then it cannot shirk the responsibility of the untimely death of so many people.

He termed it as a failure of the government’s intelligence and security system. According to him, if the government had learned from the previous attacks, then this horrific incident could have been prevented. He stressed that this is not the first attack, and due to the negligence of the government, there has been a failure in saving the lives of the countrymen.
