AFFWA Western Air Command has actively partnered with NCVET

New Delhi: Under the umbrella of the Government of India’s Skill India Mission, AFFWA (Regional) Western Air Command has actively partnered with the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) and its sector skill councils to drive structured, certified skill development initiatives.

Through this collaboration, multiple vocational training programmes are being undertaken across stations, reinforcing AFFWA’s commitment to capacity building, employability, and empowerment of Air Force families. In continuation of this empowered vision, one such impactful activity was the successful culmination of Assistant Beauty Therapist Course at AFFWA (L) Rajokri, conducted under the aegis of AFFWA (R) WAC in collaboration with the Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council (B&WSSC).

The programme successfully trained 22 participants over a span of three months, covering a comprehensive curriculum on professional salon practices, along with essential hygiene and safety protocols significantly enhancing both competence and confidence.

Driven by the larger goal of empowering educated Sanginis and fostering financial independence, this initiative stands as a meaningful stride towards self-reliance equipping participants with industry-relevant skills, certification, and pathways to sustainable livelihood opportunities, thereby contributing to the holistic welfare and economic empowerment of Air Force families.
